I know that many of you canvass Energy Bulletin regularly, but in case
you miss it, this is a remarkable overview on (potential) things to come
by Michael Ventura.

Could actually assist with career and lifestyle planning!

PS - After being buoyed by the knowledge that the Australian Senate has
received some good submissions - slapped in the face by the harsh
reality of (Adrian's posting on) the solar ad being rejected.

What grieves me is this: with the harsh consequences of the 'hydrocarbon
twins' (global warming and peak oil) - the former is the one that the
public more readily understands.

Given the political and economic constraints around the 'selling' of the
PO message for politicians (and the constant misinformation of 'the
market - or technology - will provide' from the economists etc) global
warming is arguably easier to use to sell arguments or policies for
conservation and restraint.

PPS - Does anyone have a copy of 'The End of Suburbia' on DVD for loan
or sale?
