[Peakoil] Joining the Conservation Council

[Nature and Society Forum]

This is a great idea. The joining fees are on a sliding scale based on the number of members the group has.

I work part-time for Nature and Society Forum and our Council membership cost us $70.00 last year.

We should be able to reach a lot of the members of the Council's constituent groups by contributing a brief item to their regular newsletter.

It's great that a number of members have volunteered to pay for the small expenses incurred in the name of PO ACT; this resonates with my anarchistic instincts.  However, it may be time to consider a membership fee to cover these costs.  This way we can pay for pamphlets, banners, displays, advertising our meetings in the Canberra Times etc.
