[Peakoil] Electric bike regulation

Hi folks,

Electric bikes are a great way to travel without using petrol. Right now 
you need to register them if they are too powerful. The limit is really a 
bit too low - 200 Watts.

We should aim to change this, at least in the ACT. Electric bikes will be 
very useful in the oil-scarce future. Better regulations would also help 
encourage small businesses to sell and service electric bikes.

Does anyone have a link to the registration fees for electric bikes, 
apparently they are higher than for cars!
