[Peakoil] Electric bike regulation

I used to ride a motorbike as a way of conserving oil, but had a minor
accident and gave it up before I had a major one (you usually die
without half a ton of steel wrapped around you). For my 250cc trail
bike the registration cost was about $200/yr - a fraction of that for
a car! If they distinguish between petrol and electric bikes for the
purposes of rego pricing that is pretty dirty business.
