Comment: While this was said in the context of global warming we need  
to remember that air travel is by far the least fuel efficient form  
of travel.

Commentary on ALP policy on uranium.

Comment: The hope of going into a hydrogen economy after the oil  
starts to dry up rests on a good supply of electricity. Uranium is  
relevant in that context.

Bush and Beazley both don't want Australia to get into enrichment  
unlike Howard. Claims no radioactive waste is produced from the  
enrichment process.

Comment: What left over is U238, depleted uranium. The Bosnians and  
Iraqis would surely disagree that it is not waste with hundreds of  
tons of it scattered as dust through their countries and with it  
being linked to Gulf War syndrome.
