Bill Mollison (co founder of the permaculture movement) gave a lecture to the students of sustainability conference in TAs in 1998 which included a lecture on how bad soy bean were, i.e. high pesticide high fertilizer i.e. high oil.

Alex and I were thinking of holding dinner sometime soon with the theme "Food of the Future".

There is a really cool Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant in Dickson. All the meat is fake - it's made from soybeans. It's great to know that without oil for meat production we can always fall back on soybeans. And it tastes great as well! The food is also made without MSG, wine or eggs or any other additives.

So what date would suit you? We were thinking Wednesday the 18th at 7pm ish, but let us know if we can choose a better time. We'll do our best to pick a time that suits most of you.

We aim to raise funds for the group and have a fun night out.

  Cheers,

  Sarah
