[Peakoil] Taking action

Hi folks,

In addition to lobbying, what practical things should we be doing to 
prepare for a life with much less oil?

Eg there's a lot of discussion on the net about how to grow your own food 
without fertilisers. Who has the time to look through all that info and 
summarise it? Each of us probably has some particular area of interest, so 
we can all help each other out by each working on some area.

What action do we need to take? Do people have specific topics they'd like 
to research?
