[Peakoil] Peak oil resources

Hi all

I'm doing an environmental science essay on the global impacts of
automobile use in the United States and the cultural underpinnings of
automobile transport hegemony. I have a head full of ideas about how
this relates to peak oil, but being an essay I need to reference
everything. What books or articles can people recommend as a good
reference? Alex, what were the details of that national geographic
article you showed us last night?
