Hi folks,

The Canberra Times printed today an opinion on Peak Oil I submitted, see

It discusses the recent motion of the US House of Reps to undertake 
programs to mitigate the threat of Peak Oil. The motion is quite a break-
through, as it signals that influential people in the US will be publicly 
confronting the crisis. It was probably the trigger for the Australian 
Senate's current oil enquiry.

My piece could have been harsher on the alternatives such as ethanol. It is 
a "big picture" piece, basically calling for coherent approach to the 
problem by our entire society rather than ad-hoc fixes.
