In particular, note the article on page 4, "Golden prospects for natural gas". I should imagine coal seam gas fits under here; no wonder there's a goldrush mentality among the miners.

A few thousand sick people in Australia are affordable collateral damage when set against the millions of consumers who are willing to pay for gas.
