[Peakoil] good book on oil depletion and alternatives

Good run-down on coming oil situation is The End of Oil by Paul Roberts.

It is writen from a 2004 perspective, but his blog on the book takes it up
to date.

This book is good because it is a broad analysis, and takes into
consideration global political players, the environment, and the
possibilities of alternatives.

For example, it explains how hydrogen might play a role, not just for cars.

And only a few countries, like Germany, are even attempting to address the
issues.
