  Interest rates are likely to rise next week due to increased fuel  
costs and higher fruit prices.

Comment: a letter could will make the point that with peak all almost  
upon us the economic effects we are seeing are just the start of a  
long set of problems.

Shell has completed a feasibility study on technology to separate  
carbon dioxide and hydrogen before putting the carbon dioxide gas  
underground than using hydrogen for power stations.

Comment: while not directly relevant to peak oil the production of  
hydrogen does lead to an alternative fuel for cars.

Comment: While this is peripheral to peak oil it does provide  
interesting figures on the number of operating nuclear reactors world- 
wide, their lifetime and the prospects for constructing more.
