Only one item which can be related to peak oil today.

"Canberra tops capital construction list" by Kanchan Dutt p.13

There is more office building in Canberra than any of the state  
capitals because of expansion in the Federal Public Service.

Comment: With oil running out office space for jobs should be  
distributed across the town centres not concentrated in Civic which  
seems to be the case.
