'Exploration for' perhaps. Price and tax breaks. 'Discovery'- nah.
Sorry, that's past biology combined with geology.

But don't worry. To quote the government's 2004 Energy White Paper:

"Despite increasing demand for oil, there are sufficient reserves to
supply world demand for around 40 years."
