[Peakoil] Holden's hybrid car on hold

Hi folks,

Holden has developed an Australian hybrid car, the "Ecommodore". But that 
was five years ago, and it has never been put into production.

Considering it was a joint venture with CSIRO, taxpayers helped fund it, 
but Holden (or its parent General Motors) is sitting on the patented 
technology.

It's pretty outrageous that they have let Toyota and others take the lead 
on this.
