Hi there, along with Alex and others, I'm one of the founders of ACT Peak Oil.

I first stumbled onto peak oil about half way through 2004 by mis clicking a link whilst surfing the net.  The site I found was rather pessimistic, but any sensible mind could grasp the gravity of the situation and what the human race was facing.

As my (somewhat superficial at the time) life dreams shattered before my eyes, I realized that this was a worthy life cause to channel my energies into.

We've left the weaknesses of mankind unchecked for too long, and look what's happened!  We've built a civilisation where the only thing that matters is making another capitalist buck.  We live in isolation from our communities, and we're consuming our resources at a completely unsustainable rate.

The oil is starting to run dry.  Without it, society as we know it can't
