- Running out of oil? A Review of the Debate have become more vociferous
- in recent months, declaring that the "Hubbert Peak" in world oil
- production is with us, or will occur shortly. Some of the Depletionists
- use "Plan B" to describe what may need to be done to cope with
- increasing oil prices and decreasing oil availabilities. Dr Bennett, who
- is the founder of the Sustainable Transport Coalition, will review some
- of the papers on potential mitigation measures, and will discuss the
- interventions that the STC is calling for from governments in its policy
- paper "Oil: Living with Less" (see

- on the energy efficiency of biofuels will also be presented.
