A couple of upcoming events on Thursday evening (thanks to SEE-Change for

Sustainable Transport - Imagining the possibilities
This is your chance to describe the kind of transport future you'd really
like to see in our land-locked, car-luvin' city. Organised by the dynamic
Woden SEE-Change,
Thursday 4th March, 7.30 - 9.30pm, Main Hall, St James Church, 40 Gillies

Molonglo

If you care about the future of 'our last chance to get it right' aka
Molonglo - please consider going to this consultation on Thursday evening
4th March 5pm - 8pm at St Peter's Anglican Church, Cnr Parkinson St and
Watling Place, Weston.

Please note: The work is about to begin on the road through Molonglo which
will cut a large curve through the area, and potentially thwart any
sensible east/west street planning. If the new housing stock does not face
north/south - because the road planners liked great arcs, that would be an
absurdity in 2010. It would be good  - if you are going - to make this
point.

The ACT Greens are also very interested in Molonglo and have a 'vision'
for the future suburban development there, which is big on the
sustainability potential. They are holding their own consultation night
next Tuesday 9th March at the ACT Legislative Assembly Room 5.30pm for 6 -
7.30pm. Click here for their discussion paper. They will also be holding
other events over the next few weeks. Caroline le Couteur, is the ACT
Greens planning spokesperson and it is to her office that you can direct
inquiries.
