FYI,

A Transition Towns trainer is running for Eden-Monaro to raise awareness.
He spoke at the candidate forum on 666 ABC radio this morning.

The current member Mike Kelly is Peak-Oil-aware and spoke at a film
screening ACT Peak Oil held before the 2007 election.

Hi all

This is a last minute call for help to hand out how to votes in the
Queanbeyan area for whatever time you may have available.
I feel this is a very important chance to raise awareness on behalf of
our environment and that is way i have stood as an Independent.
I have been promoting Transition at every available opportunity.
I have had help from a small group of people in this campaign which is
suprising considering the amount of passionate people i have met over
the last two years.I felt ihad a stronger team of supporters and
advisers than have come forward.

This is not meant as an attack in any way and is not directed at
Canberra alone as the support from my local group has been equally
low, even input for ideas.
I took this campaign on myself and i am very grateful for the support
and advice i have received.
Anyway what ever happens happens.
This has been a great experience personally and i have acheived my
goal i set out to do, so ultimately the votes are not what i did it
for.
