Hi all,

I happened to catch Lateline business last night, where there was a bit of a segment with Roger Bezdek, who appears to be an oil 'expert' from the US. The segment itself didn't cover any real new information, other than he appears to be doing the rounds of various Australian government agencies and trying to motivate them to be more active. The link to the lateline page is:
http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/business/items/200706/s1956166.htm

The transcripts are not yet up, but video appears to be.

And to end on a more positive note, I was recently surprised to discover http://www.google.org - "the philanthropic arm of Google". It appears that Google has decided to branch out beyond the computing world and have begun work in the area of alternate vehicle technology and reducing oil dependency.

Ben
