[ACT Peak Oil]

Dear ACT Peak Oil member,

Today I attended an ANU and Engineers Australia Energy Security Forum
organised by ANU Energy Change Institute and Engineers Australia.

I have audio recordings of most of it if you are interested.

It covered oil, electricity, and gas security issues. There was a lot of
discussion of cybersecurity. The event was organised prior to the South
Australian blackout, which was a prominent topic.

John Blackburn gave the lunch address and basically said that although we
have the facts on our side regarding our terrible vulnerability to an oil
crisis the petroleum lobby in Australia has grip on policy facts are not
sufficient, we need to think about more politically potent was to get our
message across to the general public. John spoke at an an ACTPO event last
year and I  said

Also we will organise an ACTPO AGM for some time in early November.
